Privacy Policy

Details pending owner confirmation. The legal entity, address, and jurisdiction for this service have not yet been provided by the owner. This policy will be updated with those details when they are available.

What this tool does

Chainlook is a TLS certificate diagnostic tool. When you enter a hostname and submit it, the tool opens a TCP connection to that hostname on port 443, performs a TLS handshake, and reads the certificate chain the server presents. The result is displayed in your browser.

Data collected

  • Hostnames you submit are sent to the API endpoint (/api/check) for the sole purpose of performing the certificate check. They are not stored, logged, or persisted beyond the duration of the request.
  • Your IP address is visible to the Cloudflare Worker that handles the request, as part of normal HTTP request processing. No IP-level logging or analysis is performed.
  • No cookies, no localStorage, and no tracking are used anywhere on this site.

Data storage

None. Every check is stateless by design. Certificate check results are displayed in your browser and discarded when you navigate away or close the page. There are no accounts, no databases, and no history.

Third-party services

This site loads font files from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com). No other third-party services are used. Payment processing is not active — the Pro pricing page displays a demo form only.

Changes to this policy

If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the change. You are encouraged to review this page periodically.
